The Magellan 1400i omni-directional imaging scanner represents the newest breakthrough in data capture technology from Datalogic Scanning. The world's first imaging-based presentation scanner to offer both 1D and 2D decoding, the Magellan 1400i omni-directional imaging scanner is designed for convenience stores, drug stores, specialty stores and other medium volume checkout environments. Its solid-state construction with no moving parts increases reliability, while the small footprint frees up valuable counter selling space. The Magellan 1400i omni-directional imaging scanner has been optimized to scan both UPC/EAN labeled items and PDF417 bar codes for easy age or ID verification at the point-of-sale. The Magellan 1400i omni-directional imaging scanner also has a targeted scanning mode for reading close-proximity bar codes. Standard factory warranty is two years. The Magellan 14001 comes in a choice of black or light grey with interface choices of USB, serial, and PS/2. USB models include a 6' cable, serial models include a 12' cable and power supply, and PS/2 models include cable and power supply. All models come with a tilting stand which can be counter mounted.
